What Youll Do
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments for patients with physical functioning disorders under supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Administer procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device use
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapist
- Document treatment sessions accurately in electronic health records
- Support discharge planning with detailed documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members during patient care conferences and meetings
- Supervise and support students when applicable
- Adhere to all regulatory, clinical, and ethical standards set by the APTA and state laws
What You Need
- Valid active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and support patient recovery goals
