Required Skills:
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Michigan or eligible for licensure
- Excellent assessment and evaluation skills to determine patient needs
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy interventions, modalities, and patient education
- Ability to develop and adapt individualized treatment plans based on assessment data
- Effective communication skills to educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and support staff
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage treatment schedules and documentation
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based approaches in physical therapy
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
- Prior experience in outpatient therapy is a plus, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
- Valid state licensure or eligible for licensure as a PTA
