Required Skills
  • Valid State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Proven experience supporting patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitative procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
  • Ability to accurately document all treatments and patient progress in electronic health records
  • Adherence to ethical standards, professional conduct, and regulatory guidelines (NBCOT/AOTA standards and state practice acts)
  • Competent in assessing patient progress and modifying treatment plans under supervision

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience working specifically in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
  • Ability to supervise and support students or new staff
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and regulatory compliance
  • Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assisting or related field
  • Previous clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings
  • Active licensure in the State of Missouri
