Required Skills
- Valid State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Proven experience supporting patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitative procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Ability to accurately document all treatments and patient progress in electronic health records
- Adherence to ethical standards, professional conduct, and regulatory guidelines (NBCOT/AOTA standards and state practice acts)
- Competent in assessing patient progress and modifying treatment plans under supervision
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working specifically in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to supervise and support students or new staff
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and regulatory compliance
- Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assisting or related field
- Previous clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings
- Active licensure in the State of Missouri
