Join Our Team as a Temp Occupational Therapist (OT) in Long Term Care – Mound City, MO!

We’re seeking a skilled professional to provide expert evaluation and rehabilitative care to patients with cognitive and functional challenges. What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations of patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders.
  • Develop personalized care plans following all regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Provide rehabilitative services including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and support devices.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
  • Complete detailed discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic records in compliance with policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions to stay current with best practices.
  • Support and supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehab aides, and students as required.

Required Skills:
  • Current OT license and certification (NBCOT).
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and clinical standards in long-term care.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with DME procurement and supply management.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to mentor or supervise support staff and students.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitative settings preferred.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to travel within the facility as needed.
  • Commitment to adhering to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts, along with ethical standards.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
