Now Hiring: CVOR Surgical Technologist
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join a high-acuity surgical team supporting cardiovascular and open-heart procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular procedures
• Assemble and verify surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and assist with efficient workflow
• Monitor sterile technique and recognize breaks in sterility
• Maintain accurate counts of medications, sharps, sponges, and instruments
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures
• Support patient safety and quality standards in the operating room
• Float to General OR as needed
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of CVOR Surgical Tech experience required
• Open-heart surgery experience required
• Experience in a tertiary care center and/or Level I or II trauma center required
• Active NBSTSA certification required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical environment
Required Documents:
• Updated work history
• Current CVOR skills checklist
• Two supervisory references completed within the last 2 years
• Active BLS and NBSTSA certifications
