GD Resources LLC is seeking a Board-Certified Radiology Physician to provide (teleradiology) services to patients of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), supporting the Asheville VA Medical Center in Asheville.
The selected contractor will deliver high-quality diagnostic interpretations across multiple imaging modalities while adhering to the standards set by the American College of Radiology and all VA regulatory and credentialing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide remote interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, including:
Deliver accurate, timely, and clinically sound radiology reports
Communicate critical findings in accordance with VA protocols
Utilize VA-approved PACS and EHR systems securely
Comply with ACR Practice Parameters and VA clinical standards
Adhere to VA Medical Staff By-Laws, policies, and telemedicine requirements
Scope of Work
High-volume teleradiology services, including:
Approximately 1500 CT exams annually
Approximately 1000 MRI exams annually
Additional studies across multiple modalities and subspecialties
Coverage includes both general and specialized radiology services
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure
Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
No history of license suspension, restriction, revocation, or denial
Board Certification
Board Certified in Radiology
Maintenance of certification required with annual documentation
Credentialing & Privileging
Must successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging process prior to providing services
Enrollment in the VA VetPro system required
Ability to obtain privileges for telemedicine services at the VA facility
Credentialing timeline typically 60–90 days
Technical Proficiency
Demonstrated expertise in multi-modality imaging interpretation
Fluency in English (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Verifiable education, training, and employment history required
Continuing Education Requirements
Maintain all required Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits
Provide CME documentation upon request
Compliance required for ongoing privileging
Mandatory VA Training
VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness (annual)
HIPAA Training (annual)
Compliance Awareness Training (within 90 days and annually thereafter)
Additional VA-required training as applicable
Technical Requirements
Secure, VA-compliant remote workstation
High-speed, reliable internet connection
Ability to access VA systems via approved secure channels
Compliance with all data security and patient privacy standards
Existing or supported IT Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) required
