As a Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional care to patients in an acute care setting. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to monitor and manage patients with a variety of medical conditions, including neuro, orthopedic, and surgical cases.
- Provide primary care nursing to a diverse patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
- Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation
- Administer and titrate medications, including Heparin, per protocol
- Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with tele monitor techs
- Participate in a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Float to similar units as needed, with support roles in higher acuity areas
- Complete a comprehensive orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the unit
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Must have experience with total joint procedures and PCA pumps
- Understanding of TPN/Lipids and narcotic management
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Experience with EPIC charting system
