    Requisition ID: 294554Relocation Authorized: National - FamilyTelework Type: Part-Time TeleworkWork Location: Chandler, AZ; Houston, TX; Reston, VA; Various Work Locations USAJob SummaryIn this role, you will plan, develop, and review telecommunication structured cabling systems design work, produce drawings and documentation, and prepare design estimates for a project. You will coordinate with clients, facilitate technical discussions, and review and approve drawings, calculations, and bid summaries. You will solve complex technical issues and ensure telecom systems designs comply with all regulations and standards. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.Major ResponsibilitiesPlans and conducts independent Telecommunications work requiring judgment in theevaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Telecommunicationsengineeringsolutions, procedures, and criteria on projects or assignments insupport of a global business unitLeads the design, development, modification, and evaluation of telecommunication system components (Voice/Data) andprocesses utilizing relevantEngineering Department Procedures (EDPs), designstandards, and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)Develop and create coverage studies for horizontal cabling distance limitations including coordination with Architectural discipline and clients for optimum telecommunication space locations and sizes.Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to all stakeholdersDevelops conceptual designs for Telecommunicationsengineering projects or projects havingspecialized or unique requirementsSupports preparation of estimates, staffing needs and schedulesInterprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performancedataCoordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval ofTelecommunications aspects of the work and scope changesCoordinates with internal disciplines and leadership as required on system scope development, Risks/impacts, interface needs, and budget trendsConducts or leads special studies of new Telecommunicationsengineering methods, materialsand techniquesMentors Telecommunicationsengineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for theirprofessional developmentProvides input to and participates in special technical educational and trainingprograms as directedEducation and Experience RequirementsRequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and SkillsRCDD certification or Professional Engineerlicense requiredKnowledge of systems, equipment, applications of design methods, materials, and computers for preparation of analyses and development of project design deliverables within the ICT-Telecommunication discipline. ICT-Telecommunication discipline may include security systems, surveillance systems, ERRCS/DAS, and PAGAKnowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the ICT-Telecommunication discipline.Knowledge of developing ICT-Telecommunications designs including specifications, details, one-lines, schedules, riser diagrams, Bill of Materials, space plans, pathway designs to support inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure, fill calculations.Knowledge of TIA standards, BICSI publications, and NFPA codes.Knowledge in use of industry standard software (CAD, REVIT, Navisworks, REVU (BlueBeam), Microsoft Suites) is desirable.Prior experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in high-technology market segments.Total Rewards/BenefitsFor decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
