We are seeking an experienced Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Analyst to support telecom financial operations, vendor management, billing analysis, and telecom lifecycle management for voice, data, and wireless services. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and experience managing complex telecom environments and high-volume transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage telecom expense and contract management practices for voice, data, and cellular services
  • Support telecom lifecycle vendor management activities
  • Manage complex billing environments and multi-million-dollar telecom budgets
  • Perform wireless, voice, and data optimization analysis
  • Conduct vendor contract analysis and wireless rate benchmarking
  • Support quality control and telecom inventory management processes
  • Manage and support global billing processes across multiple telecom vendors
  • Monitor telecom carrier performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage TEM vendor performance to established SLAs
  • Maintain accurate records of telecom services, inventory, accounts, invoices, and mobility assets
  • Analyze telecom invoices for audits, disputes, adjustments, approvals, and payments
  • Review telecom vendor invoices for compliance with contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Partner with TEM service providers to manage monthly budget spend, accruals, issue resolution, and account performance
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to identify operational efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities
  • Identify telecom cost savings opportunities through spend analysis and utilization reporting
  • Track and validate billing data accuracy to eliminate billing errors
  • Serve as a liaison for internal employees regarding telecom services, operations, and billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal departments and business units to communicate statuses, issues, and deadlines
  • Support a high-volume transactional environment requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant telecom industry experience
    OR
  • Advanced degree with 5–6 years of experience in Telecom Expense Management (TEM) or telecom financial management
  • Experience managing telecom billing, expense management, and vendor relationships
  • Strong financial analysis and Accounts Payable knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and large data file manipulation
  • Experience with Tableau or similar reporting/analytics tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
