Technology Technician--Worthington Education Center
One full-time Technology Technician to work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday, on a 261-day calendar. Responsible for completion of tasks involving the daily operation of computers, hardware/software configuration, audio/video systems, security, maintenance, training, and problem analysis/resolution.
Qualifications:
- Experience with software/hardware installation
- Hardware support
- Operating system support
- Problem analysis
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License.
Job Duties:
- Supports the daily operation of the classroom and support staff's technology including audio and video systems
- Diagnoses and seeks resolution to hardware/software problems and coordinates with end user and other technology staff when needed
- Helps identify, communicate, and execute efficiencies in process and implementation of district systems
- Provides direct technical training and assistance technical staff, district staff and students
- Participates in all phases of technological equipment repair services including maintaining the District's status/relationship with authorized services from vendors
- Maintains inventory of all district technology resources including hardware and software
- Participates in infrastructure level operations and resolutions to help communicate with end users
- Maintains professional and technical certifications required to support daily operations
- Drives to off-site locations
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or his/her designee
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of the operation of a computer system
- Knowledge with various levels of audio and video equipment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction
- Must be well organized, have good oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to customer service
- Ability to analyze and seek solutions to complex problems
- Ability to work directly with technical staff on projects
- Ability to train staff members on different systems implemented
- Ability to set priorities and work well under pressure with attention to details
- Ability to lift and carry computer equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a driver's license
- Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Salary Range $25.64/hr to $32.65/hr*
