Summary

Technology Support Specialist, under the general supervision the Manager, supports and maintains system and user accounts, including rights, security and system groups, provides support of database and applications for users, provides technical design, and works in cross-functional teams to deliver projects and service. This is not a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements, maintains, configures, and troubleshoots wireless devices
  • Oversees advanced Windows implementations, configuration, troubleshooting, and management of computing devices
  • Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots network issues
  • Uses management tools such as the System Center suite of products for client administration of Windows Systems
  • Assists with Voice over IP (VOIP) setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Supports hardware and software issues for the general government and public safety applications on City devices
  • Maintains working knowledge of database applications to assist in troubleshooting and setting up software on user computers.
  • Assists in the development and execution of Enterprise system projects
  • Assists with installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network
  • Manages computing devices for security, ensuring security standards are adopted
  • Oversees inventory and property management
  • Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field
  • One (1) year of experience in advanced technology support

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Valid drivers license
