Job Description:
The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests and results reporting. The Technology Quality Technician combines practical skills with understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems.
  • Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies and equipment against stated specifications, using measurement systems (including CMM) with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility. Comply with applicable inspection procedures and standard work.
  • Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up.
  • Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely. Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
  • When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems.
  • Be familiar with inspection and test procedures, standard work and test plans, and provide input to continuously improve them.
  • Document the results of inspections and tests. Verify the stability of results over time, as feasible. Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on machined metal parts (primarily tubular components, under 8 inches diameter and up to 5 feet long).
Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspections.
Potential exposure to programming (nice-to-have).
Conduct manual inspections.
Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Document inspection results and communicate findings, including nonconformances.
Collaborate with engineers on inspection outcomes.
Required Experience & Skills:
Must-Have:

Experience with CMM operation (Zeiss preferred)
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Hands-on dimensional inspection experience
Strong attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
CMM programming experience
SAP experience
Zeiss certification
Experience in oil & gas or similar manufacturing environments
Required Years of Experience:
2-3 years of CMM and inspection experience
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Shift / Hours:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Minimal overtime
