Turn Data Into Insights That Drive Outcomes

At Vanguard, we put investors first—and that means using data to make better decisions and deliver better outcomes. As part of the Technology Leadership Program in the Data Analyst track, you’ll transform data into insights that inform business strategy, improve operations, and enhance client experiences. Your work will focus on solving meaningful business problems by analyzing data, identifying trends, and communicating insights that drive action. Through real-world assignments and collaboration with business and technology partners, you’ll gain exposure to how data enables Vanguard to serve clients more effectively.

Are you a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems and translating data into meaningful insights? Join a team where impact is driven by curiosity and purpose. You’ll work alongside analysts, engineers, and business leaders to deliver analytics solutions while building your ability to collaborate, influence decisions, and lead through data. Through hands-on projects, capstones, and rotational experiences, you’ll strengthen both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight-month rotations across Data & Analytics-focused teams, gaining exposure to different business areas, data domains, and analytical challenges while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.

In this program, you will:

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights that support business decisions
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key trends and outcomes
  • Partner with business and technology teams to understand needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Apply data management and governance principles to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Use tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and cloud-based platforms to support analytics work
  • Deliver insights that influence business strategy and improve client and operational outcomes
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact results
  • Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions in a supportive environment
  • Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
  • Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes:

  • Master’s, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field
  • Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and influence decisions
  • Familiarity with analytical tools or technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
