We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionDuties And Responsibilities:Perform test, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices at the direction of more senior technicians or engineersTroubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards including performing soldering of small surface mount components with potential assistance from more senior techniciansPerform light assembly and fabrication work to construct test fixtures and prototype systemsSource electronic and electro-mechanical components based on required performance specificationsSupport product verification work including assisting with or directly performing reliability, and system performance testingAssist in the development of product assembly, test, calibration, and repair proceduresUnderstand and follow laboratory safety precautions and ensure compliance with company safety policiesKnowledge, Skills And Abilities:Hands-on mechanical/electrical systems fundamentals and analytical background.A degree of creativity and latitude to take what is on-hand to quickly build prototypes.Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and basic electronic schematics, and test and troubleshoot PCBs to the component level.Harnessing (design, crimping, soldering, installation)Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment for expected functionality.Use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, soldering and de-soldering tools, inspection, and data collection equipment.Experience in the safe and proper use of common shop power tools (e.g., drill press, grinder,…).General computer skills, including Windows, MS Office, email, internet, software installation, and basic computer setup. Working knowledge of Excel for basic manipulation and analysis of test data.LabVIEW experience is a plus.Basic SW skill (writing / modifying scripts in text editor) is a plus.Effectively able to communicate issues/problems and ideas.Ability to independently complete assignments with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands:This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the workplace.Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.Work Environment:This position is performed in a traditional R&D lab environment.QualificationsExperience And Qualifications:Associates' degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with minimum of 3 years' experience.Or high school diploma with minimum 5 years of experience may be substituted for an Associates' degree
