We are currently hiring a Test Technician Wave Soldering Operator/Technician who is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wave soldering machines to solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role ensures that through-hole PCB assemblies are soldered, cleaned, and inspected according to quality standards. Job Title: Test Technician Wave Soldering Pay Rate: $21 Schedule (Days and Time): 2nd Monday -Friday 3:30pm - 12am Key Responsibilities Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate wave soldering machines, including adjusting settings like conveyor speed, flux density, and solder temperature to meet production standards. Production & Assembly: Load PCBs onto conveyor systems and manage the soldering process for through-hole components. Quality Control & Inspection: Perform detailed visual inspections of PCBs pre- and post-soldering, identifying defects such as solder bridges, cold joints, or insufficient solder. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning the solder pot, adding solder, and monitoring flux levels. Rework & Troubleshooting: Perform basic hand soldering or touch-up repairs to correct defects and resolve minor equipment issues. Documentation: Maintain production records and follow safety procedures, including those for lead and lead-free processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PCB assembly processes and, ideally, familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards. Machine Familiarity: Experience with soldering equipment, such as wave solder, selective solder, or aqueous cleaning systems. Physical Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination for inspection and handling delicate components. Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and schematic diagrams. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with typically 2+ years of soldering experience in a manufacturing environment. Working Conditions Environment: Production floor, which may be noisy. Safety: Handling of chemicals (flux) and exposure to fumes, requiring strict adherence to safety guidelines.
