Job Title: Technician
Location: Temecula, CA
Hours: 02:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Description:

  • Responds to assembly line equipment repair calls by diagnosing equipment problems and performing the necessary repairs.
  • Documents equipment qualifications and upgrades made to existing machines, including preventative maintenance performed and parts used, ensuring accurate repair history is maintained in the MP2 maintenance database.
  • Maintains back-up equipment and ensures spare parts inventory is maintained at required levels to support manufacturing equipment needs.
  • Assists industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in the operation of equipment.
  • Provides equipment development engineers with feedback on equipment issues and offers suggestions to improve equipment uptime.
  • Assists in the construction of worktables, provides necessary utilities, and sets up equipment on manufacturing assembly lines.
  • Modifies existing assembly lines or workstations as required to accommodate manufacturing demands.
  • Mentors less senior employees within the work group and provides guidance and support.
  • Plans and organizes non-routine tasks with appropriate approval.
  • Initiates and maintains work schedules.
  • Establishes priorities for work assignments.
  • Solves a wide range of complex problems requiring advanced interpretation of generally defined procedures and practices.
  • Selects methods and practices to obtain imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to technical challenges.
  • Understands the organizational structure and key personnel within the organization.
  • Maintains general knowledge of products, services, and employees associated with specific product lines and functional areas.

Qualification Education:

  • Associates Degree (approximately 13 years of education), or
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience / Background

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • May require a license or certification in the applicable area of expertise.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of advanced technical concepts and practices with a complete understanding of product or system fundamentals within the functional area.
  • Possesses working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Utilizes and interprets advanced numerical and statistical data.
  • Uses computer software programs to prepare documentation, perform analysis, and resolve complex problems.
  • Performs work within a quality system environment where failure to adequately perform tasks may result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
  • Performs complex technical assignments, often without established procedures.
  • Assists in the design, development, evaluation, or modification of area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or products.
  • May determine testing methods or develop preventative maintenance plans.
  • Exercises considerable judgment, initiative, creativity, and leadership in troubleshooting, recommending alternatives, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
