This position involves performing efficient and thorough mechanical repairs and maintenance of rental equipment primarily at customer job sites, with occasional shop work.
Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, repairing and reconditioning equipment to meet standards, preparing inspection reports, understanding equipment operation, completing repair documentation accurately, following supervisor instructions, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Qualifications required include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of 5 years of technician experience, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include vocational or technical certification, a valid Class B CDL, over 7 years of heavy equipment experience (preferably with rental companies or Caterpillar), and possession of required shop tools.
