PGS Worldwide is seeking a Production Technician Spec in Niagara Falls, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role performs electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of production units, developmental requirements, prototype requirements, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. The position may include modifications, rework, quality testing, and interaction with development and manufacturing engineering personnel.
Required Skills
- Experience using a microscope to assemble components
- Experience with visual acuity while working with microscopes
- Experience with miniature precision devices and components
- Precise hand-eye coordination
- Technical and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to adapt to changing part conditions
- Ability to adapt to various detailed part inconsistencies
- Must be a U.S. Person
- 3+ years of experience in SMT rework, repair, or assembly; PCB rework or assembly; medical device assembly; jewelry making; or watch repair
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in an ISO/clean room environment
- Experience using a microscope to assemble miniature parts into assemblies
- IPC J-STD-001 solder certification
