Job Description Summary
Service Technician Are you seeking an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace that allows you to: \u2022 Develop a career track \u2022 Leverage your current skills while developing new skills \u2022 Work with an incredible team of people Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Service Technician. As a Service Technician, you will increase levels of customer service by performing preventive maintenance and making repairs on equipment as needed in the most effective and cost-efficient way possible to avoid downtime at the customer location. Maintains and repairs all types of equipment offered by Sunbelt (specifically aerial lift equipment), including diagnosing complex equipment problems while following all safety rules. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES \u2022 Service equipment as required and avoid unnecessary down-time, ensure proper working condition of equipment when leaving the shop \u2022 Dismantles, reassembles and rebuilds equipment as needed \u2022 Diagnoses and repairs standard mechanical equipment problems \u2022 Fabricate parts as needed \u2022 Performs regular and service level safety inspections on equipment \u2022 Maintains a clean and safe working environment (service truck or shop work station) \u2022 Meet all company, governmental and equipment-specific safety requirements \u2022 Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor QUALIFICATIONS \u2022 Technical degree preferred \u2022 3+ years' experience with heavy equipment/diesel equipment and industrial lift repairs or similar equipment \u2022 Previous aerial lift repair experience required (JLG, Genie, etc). \u2022 Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history. \u2022 Excellent trouble-shooting skills \u2022 Ability to work independently while being flexible regarding work assignments \u2022 Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness \u2022 Strong working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements. The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range: $17.75 - 25.35

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies: twelve to twenty-five vacation days depending on years of service; five sick days; six paid holidays, two paid half day holidays, two floating holidays, one inclusion day, and one volunteer day (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement).
