Title: Technician II

Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Pay Range:$32.00 - $35.00 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

Location: Louisville, CO (Onsite)

Position Purpose: As a Technician II you will support manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and verification of precision tooling and spaceflight hardware by executing detailed work instructions, utilizing engineering documentation, and internal specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and execute work instructions with engineering drawings to manufacture and assemble mechanical precision hardware.
  • Perform detailed assembly of small and intricate spaceflight components.
  • Assemble and verify precision tooling and hardware using calibrated tools and metrology equipment (e.g., laser trackers, scanners).
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections with quality representatives using high-precision measurement equipment.
  • Identify, document, rework, and repair nonconforming parts in accordance with engineering and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate build documentation, including work instructions, NCRs, and time tracking.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to support improving tooling and minor design changes.
  • Adhere to and support the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Cross-train across multiple assembly or production areas as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 2-5 years of experience, preferably in aviation or aerospace mechanical assembly
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality

Desired Experience

  • Experience with light mechanical or aviation/aerospace assembly.
  • Machine shop experience (manual mill and lathe) in lieu of aviation/aerospace experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Experience using calibrated tools and precision measurement equipment.
  • Technical writing or documentation experience.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and comfort handling small, delicate components.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with handheld assembly tools.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office, laboratory, and manufacturing environment. The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, hand tools, power tools, ladders, machines, and fumes. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
