Description
Lee County Solid Waste is looking for a highly skilled Technician II to join the team. In this position, you will help keep important landfill equipment and systems running safely and smoothly. This hands-on role includes maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and helping support daily operations that protect the environment and serve the community.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes solving problems, doesnt mind working outside, and wants to support important solid waste services in our community.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to:
A high school diploma or GED and
Two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience to include:
Industrial maintenance
Electrical or mechanical maintenance
Wastewater or water treatment plant operations
Landfill, solid waste, or environmental systems work
Pump station maintenance
Automation or controls technician work
Utility systems maintenance
Field service technician work
Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
Experience operating hand tools and power tools
Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
Licensing Requirements

If you have retired from the Florida Retirement Pension plan you will not be eligible for renewed membership in either of the FRS retirement plan options. Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.
