Job Summary

The Gaming & Amusement Technician will handle all aspects of electronic gaming devices, from preparing, installing, inspecting, and testing to troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions. You'll ensure equipment quality, manage inventory, and provide essential onsite support. This role involves interacting with customers and staff, handling documentation, assisting with logistics, maintaining the shop, and following all policies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and prepare all equipment for distribution on the route.
  • Identify and troubleshoot all malfunctions and perform necessary repairs of electronic gaming devices and equipment.
  • Install, inspect, and test electronic gaming devices, hardware, equipment, and associated systems as required for efficient, continuous business operations.
  • Interact with clerks, management, and customers to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Provide onsite support for location openings and expansions.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for device entry and logs.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and rapid turnaround of product.
  • Respond to requests for service and assistance in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Build, maintain, and organize gaming equipment as requested.
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight.
  • General cleaning and maintenance of the shop, including the parking lot, and vehicles.
  • Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other responsibilities as assigned.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Must be insurable by the company.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background checks.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, managers, and across functions.
  • Must be organized with strong attention to detail.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works around gaming and amusement equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to moderate conditions, including temperatures ranging from 50°F to 90°F. Normal conditions are climate-controlled.

Physical Demands

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.

Requires heavy physical work: heavy lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods. May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. May be required to move machines weighing up to 500 pounds using a hand truck. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and reach. Repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. The work environment involves situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel

Travel within the assigned territory is required for this position.
