Engineering Technician I – EHS (Entry Level)

Pay Rate: $28 per hour, W2

Position Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Engineering Technician I – EHS to support workplace health, safety, and environmental initiatives within a manufacturing and cleanroom environment. This role is ideal for a dependable and coachable individual with a strong interest in hands-on safety work and a desire to contribute to a culture of safety and compliance.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to understand the broader operational environment, and a collaborative mindset while supporting personnel and business needs in a safe, professional manner.

Responsibilities
Promote a strong culture of safety by supporting compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards
Conduct routine workplace safety inspections in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment
Identify, assess, and document potential safety hazards
Enter inspection findings and safety data daily into designated systems
Coach employees on safe work practices within the cleanroom
Conduct site safety orientation and training for new employees
Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
Serve as a point of contact for safety-related questions or concerns
Participate in and contribute to site safety committee meetings
Maintain a professional and positive presence with coworkers, vendors, and visitors
Demonstrate enthusiasm, accountability, and a service-oriented mindset
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate degree in a science, safety, or related field (preferred)
Safety experience and/or manufacturing experience preferred
Semiconductor or cleanroom experience is a plus
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
Physical Requirements
Work performed primarily in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 33 pounds
May require bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, and prolonged standing
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and safety glasses
