In this role, the selected candidate will support Task 3, Cybersecurity Operations Support, by leading the development, quality control, and standardization of cybersecurity documentation, management plans, reports, executive briefings, standard operating procedures, and contractual deliverables. The Technical Writer - Senior will work closely with cybersecurity functional leads, analysts, engineers, and program leadership to translate complex operational and technical information into accurate, structured, and Government-ready documentation that supports 24x7x365 Defensive Cyberspace Operations - Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) across the DoDIN-Army-NG area of responsibility.

This position directly supports ARNG's mission to deliver secure enterprise services to more than 120,000 users and approximately 141,000 endpoints across roughly 2,800 sites in 54 states and territories, including support to Title 10 and Title 32 missions, mobilization readiness, domestic emergency response, and classified SIPRNet operations. The role contributes to documentation and reporting tied to the ARNG cybersecurity environment, including coordination with the NETCOM Global Cyber Center and DISA DCDC, and supports the documentation needs associated with RMF activities, eMASS records, USIEM analytics, EDR operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and related classified and unclassified network defense activities.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, editing, and standardization of Task Order documentation for Task 3 Cybersecurity Operations Support, including management plans, reports, executive briefings, SOPs, and contractual deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, formatting guidance, and review workflows to improve consistency, clarity, and compliance across cybersecurity submissions.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity managers, SOC personnel, ISSM/ISSO staff, engineers, analysts, and other technical contributors to convert complex cyber operations data into clear, accurate, and Government-ready written products.
  • Develop and quality-check documentation supporting 24x7x365 cybersecurity operations, including monitoring and analysis activities, vulnerability management, incident response, compliance reporting, and RMF support.
  • Support documentation associated with coordination and reporting to organizations such as the NETCOM Global Cyber Center and DISA DCDC within the ARNG cyber defense mission.
  • Produce and maintain audit-ready deliverables with clear version control, traceability, and alignment to contractual reporting requirements and Government review expectations.
  • Assist in documenting cybersecurity artifacts and reporting related to RMF activities, including eMASS records, security plans, self-assessments, and POA&M-related materials as provided by technical teams.
  • Prepare executive briefings and structured reports that communicate cybersecurity posture, operational findings, and deliverable status across ARNG classified and unclassified network environments.
  • Contribute to documentation supporting cyber operations tools and environments referenced by the program, including USIEM analytics, EDR activities, and associated threat detection and response workflows.

ECS Federal LLC

ECS was founded in 2001 by experienced IT professionals with a commitment to quality processes, people and performance. Led by our Chairman, Roy Kapani, and an experienced executive leadership team, ECS provides our customers with solutions and services that support their critical needs and further mission objectives. This commitment has paved the way for expansive growth, year over year.

ECS gained market share in 2011 in the Department of Defense and Federal spaces through both organic and acquisition growth. In May, ECS completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of OAK Management, Inc., a leading provider of marine environmental services, ship systems engineering, maritime consulting and platform acquisition management. The OAK acquisition kicked off ECS’ intention to add tactical acquisitions as a part of its long term strategy to supplement and expand upon organic growth and to build enterprise value. ECS closed out 2011 with the acquisition of Paradigm Technologies, Inc. The Paradigm transaction added approximately 200 employees to ECS’ existing 900+ employees. Paradigm also added new Defense clients for ECS, including the Missile Defense Agency, the Navy’s Program Executive Officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, the United States Marine Corps, and the U.S. Marshals Service.

In 2012, ECS completed the acquisition of iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. iLuMinA brings large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation and infrastructure design and development to ECS’ expanding capabilities.

ECS will continue to invest in corporate infrastructure and quality processes as we grow and enhance our ability to offer professional excellence to both our customers and our employees.
