Job Title: Technical Writer – Process Simplification (QMS 2.0)
Pay Rate: $70 Per Hour
Location: Onsite in Renton, WA or Everett, WA (Building 4-81)
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Shift: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Full-Time

Commercial Airplanes Quality is undertaking a major initiative to enhance the readability, clarity, and usability of its quality process documentation. This role will support the analysis and revision of technical documents to simplify content, improve structure, and ensure alignment across all levels of the organization. The selected candidates will contribute to the creation of intuitive documentation using tables, figures, and visual aids to improve comprehension and execution.
The project is part of a long-term effort (QMS 2.0) to revise and streamline business process documentation, organized by swim-lanes, and will span multiple years.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and improve the readability and structure of existing technical documents
Incorporate stakeholder feedback and apply consistent documentation architecture
Integrate visual aids (tables, images, diagrams) to enhance clarity and understanding
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of documentation with process objectives
Support the development of robust, clear, and user-friendly content
3–5 years of experience in technical writing
Aerospace industry experience
3–5 years of technical process knowledge in any discipline
Familiarity with manufacturing and quality systems
Project management experience
Understanding or experience with generative AI tools
