Description:
Manufacturing Technical Writer/Build Documentation Specialist to support intake, writing, and approval activities for experimental manufacturing requests. This role will be responsible for creating and managing the full packet documentation required to build products through the manufacturing line.
The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, operators, and quality teams to ensure documentation is accurate, controlled, and ready for production use within a regulated manufacturing environment
Meet the team:
Welcome to the Innovation Planning team! We are the glue that holds the manufacturing operation together. We intake build requests, schedule them on the appropriate lines and write the build instructions for associates to follow. We work closely with RandD, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing on a daily basis. As a small team we support each other to ensure we are all successful.
Where you come in:
You will create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for SD Manufacturing team to follow
You will meet and interact with various users and technical experts to gather data for documentation.
You will research and translate technical information into documents for nontechnical and technical users.
You may document engineering processes and specifications.
You may recommend formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
You will produce products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
What makes you successful:
Your proficiency in Microsoft Office tools will allow you to stay organized and track progress
Your outgoing nature and ability to reach out to new people to ask for input will help you gather information to create meaningful build packets.
A prior knowledge in clean room environments and FDA controlled industries would help to onboard quickly
Your ability to understand engineers and translate their knowledge so that manufacturing associates can follow will make you successful in this role.
Your willingness to learn new things quickly will ensure you are successful in this role

Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule available after training period
- Initial onboarding and training will require significant onsite presence
- Opportunity for partial remote work once fully trained and operating independently
