Position Overview

Amatriot is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Technical Trainer to join the team based out of Chantilly, VA.

The Technical Trainer will design, develop, organize, and deliver technical training and related materials in support of customers and company employees. This role will support classroom, one-on-one, small group, large group, virtual, and ad hoc training sessions, while ensuring training materials reflect current CACMS features, updates, and best practices.

The position requires effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, coordination with customer teams and functional organizations, accurate reporting, stakeholder relationship management, and support for domestic and international training activities.


Key Responsibilities

Training Design, Development, and Delivery

  • Design, develop, organize, and deliver comprehensive technical training and related materials in support of customers and/or company employees.
  • Instruct participants in one-on-one, small group, large group, virtual, and ad hoc training sessions.
  • Work with customer teams and functional organizations to establish training content and objectives.
  • Ensure training materials reflect current CACMS features, updates, and best practices.
  • Ensure training material reflects current product features.
  • Deliver presentations as needed.

Documentation and Process Support

  • Create documentation for standardized data collection, inspection, and collaboration processes.
  • Follow defined processes and document any issues or problems clearly.
  • Review, decipher, and understand program manuals, software/hardware manuals, training manuals, and related materials.

Reporting, Records, and Evaluation

  • Provide daily status reporting to management and customers during training activities.
  • Complete and submit all reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Track training completion rates and maintain accurate records in learning management systems.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.

Stakeholder Communication and Coordination

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with Posts, domestic offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and participant communications.
  • Deliver clear and effective communication verbally and non-verbally to provide updates, briefings, and interface with co-workers, leadership, and customers.

Technical and Team Support

  • Work independently and within small teams to support various software and systems-related tasks.
  • Effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, and related equipment.
  • Work in an office environment and move within the space to utilize office equipment and interface with co-workers and customers.

Travel and After-Hours Support

  • Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed to support overseas or domestic training tasks.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Fly on international flights up to 18 hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates, briefings, or interface with co-workers, leadership, and customers.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and freely move within the space to utilize office equipment and interface with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, and related equipment.
  • Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
  • Must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, software/hardware manuals, training manuals, and related materials.
  • Must be able to fly on international flights up to 18 hours.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, education, business administration, or management information sciences.
  • Work experience and/or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in training and/or Information Technology.
  • Experience delivering software applications training to end users in a classroom, one-on-one setting, virtual setting, or equivalent teaching environment.

Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and within small teams.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and document issues or problems clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more technical certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Educator, or MS Endpoint Administrator, highly preferred.
  • Experience training end users on complex hardware and software solutions is highly preferred.
  • Experience delivering technical training via remote training tools such as MS Teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
