About LiquidStack
LiquidStack is a global leader in advanced liquid cooling solutions, enabling the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and mission-critical data center infrastructure. Our innovative technologies help customers maximize performance, improve energy efficiency, and support the growing demands of today's most advanced computing environments.
We are seeking a technically skilled and hands-on Technical Support Specialist to join our Global Services team. In this role, you will provide post-sales technical support for LiquidStack's advanced liquid cooling systems, serving as a key technical resource for customers, service partners, field technicians, and internal teams.
This is not an IT help desk role. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting mechanical, thermal, HVAC/R, or electromechanical systems and enjoys solving complex hardware challenges. You will work directly with equipment, engineering documentation, and cross-functional teams to diagnose issues, support warranty and service activities, and improve customer outcomes.
If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, collaborating with engineering teams, and working with innovative technology shaping the future of AI and data infrastructure, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Why Join LiquidStack?
At LiquidStack, you'll work with cutting-edge technology that is transforming the future of data center cooling.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Support innovative liquid cooling systems powering AI, hyperscale, enterprise, and edge computing environments.
- Work alongside engineering, manufacturing, quality, and global service teams to solve complex technical challenges.
- Gain expertise in advanced mechanical, thermal, and fluid management technologies.
- Make a direct impact on customer satisfaction, product reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Grow your career within Global Services, Field Service Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, or Product Support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary technical support contact for customers, channel partners, and field service technicians supporting LiquidStack products.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, thermal, fluid, and electromechanical system issues using structured troubleshooting and technical analysis.
- Support mission-critical customer environments by helping resolve technical issues quickly to maximize system performance and uptime.
- Analyze product issues using engineering documentation, including mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, bills of materials (BoMs), service manuals, and CAD models.
- Perform structured root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring technical issues and collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to recommend corrective actions and improve product reliability.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Global Services teams to resolve complex technical challenges and improve serviceability.
- Support product lifecycle activities, including installation support, commissioning assistance, warranty evaluations, spare parts coordination, upgrades, and service recommendations.
- Utilize CRM and service management systems to accurately document troubleshooting activities, technical findings, customer communications, and case resolutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, and best practices to improve service efficiency.
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer by communicating recurring field issues, customer feedback, and product improvement opportunities to internal teams.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally to customers, service partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support a global customer base across multiple time zones while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, field service, manufacturing support, product support, or equipment troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, thermal, HVAC/R, industrial, fluid handling, or electromechanical systems.
- Technical diploma, Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BoMs), assembly drawings, and service documentation.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues using systematic troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience documenting customer issues and technical resolutions within CRM or service management platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting liquid cooling systems, HVAC/R equipment, pumps, heat exchangers, hydronic systems, coolant distribution units (CDUs), valves, or other fluid management systems.
- Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA), failure analysis, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other engineering drawing software.
- Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Jira, or other CRM/service management platforms.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial equipment, data center infrastructure, or mission-critical systems.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance, commissioning, warranty support, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
Success in This Role
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Enjoys solving complex technical and mechanical challenges.
- Takes ownership of customer issues from initial diagnosis through resolution.
