Meta's Infrastructure Hardware team is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing for DRAM and SSD memory technologies that power Meta's global data center fleet. In this role, you will define and execute long-term supply strategies for high-capacity and high-performance memory components, partnering with silicon vendors, and internal engineering teams to ensure NPI ramp and cost competitiveness, and technology alignment across Meta's hyperscale infrastructure. You will operate at the intersection of semiconductor technology roadmaps and large-scale sourcing strategy, shaping how Meta sources and deploys memory solutions at one of the world's largest infrastructure footprints.Define and co-own the multi-year sourcing strategy for DRAM and NAND/SSD components across Meta's data center infrastructure, including capacity planning, supplier portfolio management, and technology transitions Develop deep technical fluency in DRAM and NAND technology roadmaps (e.g., DDR5, HBM, QLC/TLC NAND, NVMe SSD) to evaluate supplier offerings and align sourcing decisions with infrastructure engineering requirements Partner with hardware engineering, capacity planning, and data center operations teams to translate infrastructure memory requirements into actionable sourcing plans Conduct a total cost of ownership analysis and should-cost modeling for memory components to inform negotiation strategies and investment decisions Lead component qualifications for DRAM and SSD, in partnership with hardware component quality and design engineering teams Establish and track supplier performance metrics on technology roadmap alignment, driving continuous improvement through structured business reviews Influence memory technology selection decisions by synthesizing supplier roadmap data, market intelligence, and internal engineering feedback into actionable recommendations for leadership12+ years of experience in technical sourcing, supply chain management, or commodity management for semiconductor or memory components (DRAM, NAND, SSD) Experience with DRAM and NAND technology roadmaps and the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs across memory generations and form factors Experience developing sourcing strategies and total cost of ownership models for memory or semiconductor commodities in a hyperscale or large enterprise environment Experience working cross-functionally with hardware engineering, quality, and legal teams to align sourcing decisions with technical and business requirements Familiarity with HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) or emerging memory technologies and their supply chain dynamics Experience sourcing memory components specifically for data center or cloud infrastructure applications, including server DRAM and enterprise NVMe SSD Track record of influencing executive-level decisions through data-driven market analysis and supplier intelligence reporting Experience building and scaling commodity management programs or sourcing centers of excellence within a hardware or infrastructure organizationMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
