Minimum qualifications:


+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 5 years of experience in system design or one or more programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).

+ 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

+ 5 years of experience in Android application or platform development.


Preferred qualifications:


+ Experience working with embedded systems, Linux kernel, device driver APIs, chipset, and Android.

+ Experience with TV and video technologies, such as TV/set-top box software stacks, media services, and content protection.

+ Software development experience in the mobile/CE/embedded space including knowledge of audio, video, graphics, and security technologies.

+ Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

+ Excellent project management and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple customers and work-streams simultaneously.

+ Excellent creative and investigative problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of their work.


The TV Partner Engineering team is responsible for working with device manufacturers, OEM's, and SOC providers to deliver an exceptional TV experience.


As a Technical Solutions Consultant on our TV Partner Engineering team, you will own the technical relationship with one of our device manufacturing partners. Your mission is to ensure our partners build and launch high-quality TV devices on schedule. You will act as the primary technical advisor, guiding the partner through complex integration challenges and driving the resolution of critical bugs. This includes collaborating closely with internal Product and Engineering teams, leading essential testing programs, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to guarantee a seamless user experience at launch.


Google TV is redefining the TV experience to make it highly personalized, Google-smart, and content-forward to help users access the world’s media. Through recent launches like Chromecast with Google TV, we bring together the best of Google. Google TV is focused on scaling across the OEM ecosystem; working closely with third-party streaming partners plus many teams across Google (for example: Ads, Play, and YouTube); and building a business on TV platforms, OTT devices, and mobile devices. With over 110 million active users of our products plus being amidst the quickly evolving media and entertainment industry, there are plenty of opportunities for the team and individuals in it.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:


+ Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

+ Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.

+ Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.

+ Act as the engagement manager taking responsibility for the success of our Android TV and Google TV partnerships.

+ Optimize implementations to increase business opportunities and manage the overall technical aspects to build strong, successful, long-term partnerships.
