Overview Seeking a driven and motivated engineer to join our sales team focusing on growing business with existing customers and developing new business. This position will involve applications engineering, sales support and field service work. Sales Engineers should be comfortable working in a result-driven, fast-paced environment. The company supports continuous learning and a collaborative environment.A Day In The Life A technical sales role encompasses a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. Projects are high in volume and vary, spanning design, procurement, coordination, and post-sale support. Typical tasks include outside sales meetings, application engineering, and project management of installations in progress to ensure equipment is on site when needed. The role also includes service and technical support of existing equipment and helping end users maintain high levels of customer service.Responsibilities Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications to meet customer needs with sustainable products and latest technologies.Work directly with engineers, contractors, end users, and food service dealers.Daily tasks include inside sales support, application engineering and outside sales.Responsibilities may include presentations, quotes, submittals, technical product support, site visits, and hands-on troubleshooting as needed.Educate and promote CaptiveAire products to users in the market through conference calls, meetings, presentations, and product demos.Research and develop new business opportunities with new and existing users.Provide top-notch customer service and go above and beyond to serve the customer.Maintain quick turnaround times and continuously evaluate and improve processes and the customer experience.Two to three full days per week in the office on bids, one to two days on job sites, and another day for territory development, which may include presenting to engineers, visiting new customers, or expanding contacts with existing accounts.Required Skills 2-5 years experience4-year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, construction or science-oriented curriculum preferredExcellent computer, organizational and communication/presentation skillsProblem solving with a passion for continuous learningStrong desire to interface with the customerWillingness to embrace new technologies and business acumenpassion for work with an aggressive drive to succeedWilling to travel for various training opportunitiesIf not already completed, expectation of FE Exam completion in area of study for engineering graduates within 6 months of employment with CaptiveAireGo-getter attitudeBenefits Medical, dental and vision insuranceDisability & life insurance based on election of medical insurance401k with employer matchPaid holidaysPaid time off (PTO) based on tenureFlexible spending account (FSA)Tuition reimbursement, including for Professional Engineering (PE) LicenseRelocation assistanceSalary Base salary: $70k-$100k, negotiable based on experience, with additional monthly bonus based on productivity and profits.Captive-Aire Systems, Inc. is an equal opportunity workplace.
