Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our PMO team. The Technical Project Manager has responsibility of managing one or more medium to high complexity technical projects at a time. In this role, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for the success of the project. They will lead discussions with the project team to identify tasks, dates, and dependencies required to complete the project according to the acceptance criteria of done, as agreed to by the executive sponsor(s). They will facilitate scoping the project with executive sponsor(s), initiate planning, delivery, launch, post-launch support, and hold retrospectives for improvements to make for future projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform business analysis activities to extract and document requirements with acceptance criteria. 

  • Makes decisions which influence the success of project objectives.

  • Work includes a broad range of complex technical activities, in a variety of contexts. 

  • Highly values collaboration, communication, and is an expert in conflict management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Investigates and resolves project issues.

  • Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, to the project team and executives.

  • Can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Plans, schedules, executes, and monitors work to meet project targets. Regularly update stakeholders on project milestones, and provide status reports as required.

  • Is forth-coming, direct, transparent, and holds the project team accountable.

  • Makes all attempts to keep the project on budget, on scope, and on time. 

  • Alerts leadership and the executive sponsor when the project is not consistent with the goals, bringing alternate solutions to the discussion.

  • Negotiates trade-off discussions on schedule, scope, and budget as needed. 

  • Revises project plans with acceptance from the executive sponsor and broad communication to the project team and stakeholders.

  • Organize and lead project status meetings, working sessions, delivery planning.

  • Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a technical project manager.. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent experience.

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of document, spreadsheet, presentation, and project management tools.

Compensation 

The salary range for this position is:  97,000 - 110,000

The final pay for this position will be determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, location, education, experience, training and skills.
