One of our leading retail clients is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager in Pleasanton, CA (Onsite).
 
Role: Technical Project Manager
Contract (12-months + Possible extension)
Location: Pleasanton, CA 94588 (Onsite)
 Pay Rate: $80-$96.42 an hour on W2 (DOE)

 

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate complex technical projects. You’ll collaborate with engineering leaders to build zone maps and manage network infrastructure projects, especially in retail management software environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors, using industry-leading project management tools, and ensuring project quality from initiation through delivery.

 

  • Lead and manage complex technical projects from conception to completion.
  • Work closely with engineering leaders to develop and implement zone maps.
  • Manage and oversee projects in network infrastructure (WiFi, routers, etc.) and retail management software.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and ensure alignment toward common program goals.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to drive project deliverables.
  • Develop risk management strategies; proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain project quality standards through rigorous validation and testing.
  • Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and ensuring effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Utilize project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, ServiceNow, Asana) and tracking resources efficiently (MS Excel, Jira).
  • Monitor project forecasts, actualization, and analyze resource needs.
  • Manage service improvement and ensure continuous integration and delivery.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience managing and delivering complex technical projects.
  • Prior experience in network infrastructure, retail management software, ServiceNow, Jira, and MS Project.
  • Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficient in resource coordination and vendor management.
  • Skilled in project management tools: JIRA, MS Project, ServiceNow, Asana, MS Excel.
  • Ability to generate and maintain detailed project documentation and forecasts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve project impediments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in continuous process improvement and cross-team collaboration.
  • Open to candidates from various industries.
