Technical Project Manager

Contract (1 Year + Possible Extension)

Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $45-48 an hour on W2 (DOE)

The primary responsibility of this role is to support company-sponsored security projects involving the integration of access control and video monitoring systems across new building constructions, facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and large-scale hardware refresh initiatives throughout North America.

The role requires close collaboration with multiple internal teams and external vendors to plan, execute, and successfully deliver projects of varying scope, size, and priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, installation, and commissioning of building security projects in alignment with company security technology standards and industry best practices.
  • Manage project schedules, equipment coordination, and scope deliverables to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance on security solutions, system design, and infrastructure requirements to ensure compliance with Corporate Security and Emergency Management standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align project priorities with business objectives.
  • Monitor and visualize project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying and escalating risks or impediments that may impact project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and secure support for successful project execution and completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Project Management Certification or a degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience managing small to medium-scale technology projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage tight timelines, and operate with limited supervision when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Security Access Control and Video Management Systems (VMS).

  • Knowledge of building construction processes, including drawing reviews, construction methodologies, and field inspections.

  • Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Lenel S2 and Milestone XProtect.

  • Practical installation experience with:

  • Card readers

  • Security cameras

  • Guardhouses

  • Turnstiles

  • Speed lanes

  • Road gates

  • Experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies.

  • Experience working in both administrative and manufacturing environments.

  • Exposure to AI frameworks and technical project management.
