Job Type: W2 Contract 

Expected hours per week: 40 hours 

Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) 

Pay Range: $75-85 an hour 

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead automotive software quality and testing initiatives, driving project planning, execution, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, validation, and program teams. This role serves as the primary liaison between test organizations and program leadership, ensuring software releases, vehicle configurations, defect management, and testing activities remain aligned with program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, scope, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in gathering requirements and defining test project scope.
  • Monitor project performance and implement recovery plans when timelines or deliverables are at risk.
  • Prepare and present executive-level status reports, dashboards, and governance updates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate program-level meetings, Scrum ceremonies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support Agile and SAFe practices, including PI Planning, backlog management, test epic creation, and sprint execution.
  • Define and manage software test cycles, schedules, and release alignment activities.
  • Track software maturity, test execution progress, and defect resolution activities through Jira and reporting tools.
  • Manage hardware and software configurations, including vehicle variants, prototype components, software releases, and update coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between test teams, program management, and engineering organizations.
  • Monitor, communicate, and escalate vehicle hardware/software issues, defects, and program risks as needed.
  • Analyze program metrics and incident data to ensure timely issue resolution and overall project health.
  • Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and delivery effectiveness.
