Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, custom manufacturing programs within a fast-paced hardware environment. The Technical Program Manager will play a critical role in owning end-to-end delivery across engineering and manufacturing teams, while navigating shifting priorities and high-touch customer engagements in a dynamic, high-pressure setting. The Technical Program Manager will be full-time and sit on site near Santa Clara, CA.
Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager:
- Drive full lifecycle program execution for complex hardware product development initiatives, from concept through production
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers, ensuring clear communication on timelines, specifications, and program status
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to maintain alignment and execution velocity
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks while ensuring alignment to financial and operational targets
- Lead decision-making under ambiguity, balancing customer needs with internal constraints to maintain program momentum
Qualifications of the Technical Program Manager:
- 4+ years of program management experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, or hardware-focused environment
- Demonstrated success working in high-change, high-pressure environments with evolving requirements and tight timelines
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, resolve conflict, and drive alignment across customer and internal teams
- Willingness to travel 50-60% initially
- Strong technical acumen including the ability to interpret engineering drawings, apply DFM principles, and utilize standard PM and business software tools
Compensation for the Technical Program Manager includes:
- Salary range: $120,000-$150,000
