About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

We are looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager to drive the execution and delivery of next-generation XR applications for 0 to 1 wearable consumer products.

As a Technical Program Manager, you aren't just tracking tasks, you are navigating a highly ambiguous environment of a nascent hardware/software ecosystem. You will be responsible for synchronizing complex work streams across multiple teams and product areas, identifying technical bottlenecks before they become blockers, and ensuring that our XR apps are optimized for performance and intuitive user interactions. You will act as the glue that holds the technical roadmap together, ensuring that engineering efforts are aligned with the overarching strategic goals of the XR organization. You will also get to intersect with our external manufacturing partners to build well-rounded products together.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of bringing XR product goal to life with a high bar for engineering excellence and user satisfaction, working closely with key cross-functional partners to translate high-level XR concepts into shippable reality.
For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.
