About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will be part of the team that is responsible for Google’s network demand where you will optimize the demand plan and provide insights into network demand trends. With a north star to deliver exceptional forecast accuracy while reducing the e2e planning cycle time, you will drive continuous improvements into our processes, integrate organizational strategies into the forecasting model and drive critical business decisions that enable Google’s global network. You will be working closely with all of Google’s product areas to understand their network requirements and partnering with Google Global Infrastructure product, data science, engineering, and planning teams to deliver.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $138000 - $198000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefitsLearn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the processes required to generate and publish a demand plan, understand business inputs and policies, and deliver key insights into network demand trends.
  • Guide projects that strive for self-sustaining planning, evaluate new forecasting methodologies, and partner cross-functionally to find efficiencies in our planning processes.
  • Define the process to operationalize the demand process for new network products.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to balance competing priorities and gain the necessary alignment to seamlessly deliver on organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
