Introduction
The candidate will serve as the Technical program manager for one or more vehicle lines by being the key point of contact between the Air Induction and Exhaust systems design team and all other functional areas such as vehicle program management, engineering departments, and manufacturing. The role is responsible for ensuring that the Air Induction and Exhaust system meets all functional and performance requirements while meeting cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives. The components include catalytic converters, exhaust pipes, mufflers/resonators, air cleaner, dirty/clean side ducts, air filter, and underbody heat shields.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree field
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with an emphasis on automotive Exhaust Systems/components at either an OEM or supplier
- Strong leader with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to sell ideas to stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in program management with the ability to set a timeline and execute at the required milestones
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Understanding of electric vehicle thermal systems and common vehicle system interactions
- Experience in component costing (variable cost and investment)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead Air Induction and Exhaust system responsibilities from initial concept phase through end of life
- Coordinate technical issue resolution pertaining to engineering and quality at all stages of the program
- Support plant development and launch activities onsite as a visible member of the launch team
