Scope:

The CSI R&D SaaS team within CooperSurgical is dedicated to developing and maintaining cutting-edge SaaS software solutions for cryopreservation and inventory, storage, donations, and billing management for fertility clinics and patients worldwide. As a Technical Product Owner on the CSI SaaS team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and future development of these products.

Job Summary:

As a Technical Product Owner - Software, you will play a significant role in building, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting customer-facing software products and internal applications. This position will be responsible for guiding the software product''s technical roadmap, feature prioritization, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 8 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner for Agile teams in Software Development environment.
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Significant experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining and prioritizing product backlog.
  • Strong technical background with good understanding of software development methodologies, solution architecture and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control, test automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
  • An outcome focused mindset including process discipline and drive for timely project completion.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Product Owner certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional domestic and international travel (< 10%)
  • On-site from an office in Trumbull, CT or Livingston, NJ.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders and translate user needs into clear product requirements.
  • Craft detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development sprints.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with evolving requirements and business goals.
  • Serve as a bridge between the engineering team and other departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment on technical requirements, timelines, and priorities.
  • Actively participate in agile meetings to maintain transparency on progress, impediments, and successes.
  • Monitor and evaluate product progress across all stages and communicate product updates.
  • Own and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, and release notes.
