This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer requirements, and commercial performance, ensuring products are technically sound, market-relevant, and scalable.

This is a mid-career role requiring both hands-on execution and structured thinking. The individual will contribute to product roadmap development, support new product introductions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to translate real-world customer needs into actionable product improvements.

The ideal candidate combines technical fluency, customer-facing experience, and product lifecycle exposure, with the ability to operate independently while influencing across functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Leadership

  • Support development and execution of a 2-3 year product roadmap aligned with market needs and business objectives
  • Translate customer feedback, field insights, and competitive analysis into product enhancements and feature priorities
  • Conduct market and competitor research within data center infrastructure, HVAC, and thermal management industries
  • Contribute to identifying adjacent opportunities to expand product capabilities and market reach

Product Performance & Business Support

  • Contribute to tracking product performance including adoption, customer feedback, and operational metrics
  • Support development of business cases and ROI analysis for new features or improvements
  • Provide input into pricing strategy, demand planning, and forecasting activities
  • Assist in aligning product decisions with cost, margin, and scalability considerations

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Lifecycle Management

  • Participate in structured stage-gate / NPI processes from concept through commercialization
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure launch readiness and scalability
  • Support development of product documentation including technical materials, training content, and application notes
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and identify improvement and cost optimization opportunities

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Act as a technical liaison between Sales, Engineering, and Product teams
  • Engage with customers to understand performance requirements, constraints, and use cases
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales activities by providing technical product guidance and solution alignment
  • Translate complex technical performance into clear customer-facing value propositions

Cross-Functional Governance & Decision Support

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to evaluate technical feasibility and manufacturability
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure aligned messaging and go-to-market readiness
  • Support internal teams with technical insights, product positioning, and customer requirements clarification
  • Work with ecosystem partners (OEMs, chipmakers) to ensure integration compatibility and alignment

What Success Looks Like (12-18 Months)

  • Contributes to a clearly defined and actionable product roadmap
  • Demonstrates ability to translate customer and field insights into product improvements
  • Successfully supports product launches and enhancements with cross-functional alignment
  • Builds credibility with internal teams as a reliable technical and product resource

  • Demonstrated experience influencing pricing, revenue performance, or margin outcomes
  • Experience managing hardware or electro-mechanical products through structured lifecycle processes
  • Familiarity with stage-gate or formal NPI methodologies
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities (advanced Excel proficiency required)
  • Ability to interpret technical performance data and translate into customer-facing value propositions
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
