Summary:

  • The Technical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day technical, operational, and administrative oversight of assigned Anatomic Pathology laboratory sections. This role ensures delivery of high-quality diagnostic services while maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Technical Manager collaborates closely with pathologists, laboratory personnel, laboratory leadership, and operational partners to support patient care, employee engagement, and organizational goals. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight to enhance service delivery and maintain excellence in pathology services. This individual will ensure effective and regular communication with all stakeholders as well as work on the development and maintenance of performance improvement programs that promote patient, employee and provider satisfaction in the anatomic laboratory. The incumbent will serve as the technical resource for and ensure implementation of all regulatory requirements associated with laboratory licensure. 


    Credentials:

    • American Society for Clinical Pathology (Required)
    • ASCP - Histologist, Cytotechnologist, Pathologists' Assistant

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
    • Biological, Chemical, or Healthcare Field 1+ years Experience in lab management. Knowledge of and ability to manage the general hazards encountered when working with potentially infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, radioisotopes, and laboratory equipment.
    • Master of Arts or Science
    • Pathologists' Assistant 5+ years Anatomic Pathology Lab experience.
