Title: Technical Lead – Identity & Biometric Solutions
Pay: $70/hour–$72/hour
Duration 6 Months
Hours: Monday–Friday; 8AM–5PM (flexible)
Location: Austin, TX 78701 (Hybrid – onsite Monday/Wednesday/Thursday)

Overview
Lead the design and implementation of advanced identity and biometric solutions. This role blends technical leadership, solution design, and client interaction, supporting complex project delivery without direct people management.

Job Description
  • Lead technical design and implementation of identity and biometric solutions
  • Translate customer needs into solution specifications and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful deployment
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution feasibility, demos, and technical presentations
  • Define architecture, system interfaces, and integration strategies
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables and documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders
  • Assist Project Managers with technical planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Lead customer workshops and ensure alignment on requirements
  • Travel to client sites across the U.S. and Canada (15–20%)

Required Skills
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong background in solution design and implementation
  • Experience with APIs, databases, Java, and/or .NET
  • Familiarity with AWS or cloud environments preferred
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and present to clients
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-project environments
  • Leadership experience (project-based is acceptable)

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid passport
  • Ability to obtain post-hire regulatory clearance
  • Local to Austin, TX required
