The FRP 26 writing group within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Technical Editor/Writer to join our diverse and talented material development group to support our customers. As a Technical Editor/Writer, you will be responsible for writing, rewriting, and/or editing technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to clearly and effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions to Subject Matter Experts. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama without remote work possibility.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must, at a minimum, meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• For a Level 2 : 4 years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelors degree; 2 years experience with a Masters

For a Level 2 : 4 years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelors degree; 2 years experience with a Masters

• For a Level 3 : 6 Years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelors degree; 4 Years experience with a Masters degree

For a Level 3 : 6 Years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelors degree; 4 Years experience with a Masters degree

• For a Level 4 : 8 years experience as a Technical Editor and writer with a Bachelors degree; 6 years experience with a Masters Degree

For a Level 4 : 8 years experience as a Technical Editor and writer with a Bachelors degree; 6 years experience with a Masters Degree

• 3+ years of experience and advanced skills with the Microsoft Office product suite

• 3+ years of experience and intermediate skills with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator
