Title: Technical Design 2
Location: Hill AFB, UT
Salary Range: $30 - $35/hr. (Competative)
Introduction
A Technical Designer is needed to support the Minuteman program out of Hill Air Force Base (HAFB). This position will be responsible for performing design, drafting, and configuration management tasks associated with Engineering Data. This includes creating new, or revising existing drawings, 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Modeling, configuration management of drawings, etc. The Technical Designer will meet regularly with program managers and leads to coordinate workload and priorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Computer Aided Design tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, & NX)
- Experience in Client tools (Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures
- Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data)
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in Design Engineering
- Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams
- Experience with identifying required material types for parts and components
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings
- Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs
- Investigate and resolve moderately-complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues
