Technical Compliance Specialist
The Technical Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s regulatory, compliance, sustainability, and technical documentation initiatives. This role will manage compliance-related programs including product audits (UL, NSF), SDS documentation and requests, sustainability and product testing coordination, and other technical compliance activities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. This position offers significant opportunity for growth and expanded responsibility over time. Essential Responsibilities - Support regulatory and customer compliance requests. Track deadlines, requirements, project timelines.
- Assist with maintaining technical records and compliance documentation.
- Manage product testing and certification, field evaluations, and audits. Coordinate documentation activities.
- Identify and research new sustainability-related testing and initiatives
- Maintain and organize Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation
- Manage company SDS inbox and ensure a timely response to requests
- Help interpret code requirements to develop and manage product specifications*
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, technical, customer service and sales teams
- Support additional regulatory, technical service, and compliance projects as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, environmental science, regulatory affairs, or related field preferred
- Experience in regulatory compliance, technical services, quality, manufacturing, or chemical-related industries preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SDS management, audits, compliance documentation, or testing coordination preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/document management systems

Physical Requirements - Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer and telephone work.
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment for prolonged periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and via electronic communication.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10–20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to read and interpret information on computer screens and printed materials.
- Ability to move throughout the office to attend meetings and interact with employees and visitors.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
