Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the Technical Support Specialist II provides technical support for district technology systems and performs a variety of duties related to the installation, maintenance, and operation of computer hardware,software, and network equipment. This position supports staff and site operations by diagnosing and resolving technical issues and ensuring reliable access to technology resources. The Technical Support Specialist II is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Chromebooks, Macintosh and Windows systems, mobile devices, and related peripherals. The position responds to service requests, prioritizes and tracks work orders, and provides timely and effective technical assistance to staff across multiple sites. This role supports daily district operations by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining system performance, and assisting users with technology applications including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and network-based systems. The position also provides training and guidance to staff, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures compliance with district technology standards and procedures. The Technical Support Specialist II works independently while collaborating with district departments to support instructional and operational technology needs, maintain a secure and efficient technology environment, and promote effective use of district resources.
