Role: Teamcenter Infrastructure Architect

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and compliant PLM solutions for government customers. This role is responsible for the installation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of Teamcenter and other Siemens Xcelerator products within regulated environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Teamcenter/Xcelerator deployments, a broad background in enterprise infrastructure technologies, and strong technical leadership and communication skills. You will work directly with customers to design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions that enable their PLM strategy while meeting stringent security, compliance, and operational requirements. You will collaborate closely with consultants, solution architects, project managers, industry experts, and Siemens product development and support teams to ensure successful project delivery and long-term customer success.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation, deployment, and upgrade of the Siemens Xcelerator solution suite within government-regulated environments, ensuring compliance with applicable security, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Teamcenter and related Siemens Xcelerator products across development, test, and production environments in accordance with government standards and customer security policies.
Design and support secure, compliant deployment architectures aligned with system requirements, infrastructure constraints, and customer IT strategies, roadmaps, policies, and standards.
Analyze, monitor, and tune customer environments to ensure performance, stability, availability, and compliance for Teamcenter and Xcelerator solutions.
Support accreditation, authorization, and operational readiness activities, including go-live and post-production support, following industry best practices and SGT standards.
Collaborate with project management, security, and customer stakeholders to support scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives, and to enable successful adoption within regulated government environments.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with PLM and enterprise information technologies; minimum of 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience deploying and maintaining Siemens Teamcenter or Xcelerator products, or at least 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining comparable PLM solutions (e.g., ENOVIA, Windchill, Aras Innovator, Agile).
Strong knowledge of Teamcenter installation and deployment methodologies, including Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) and Deployment Center.
Solid experience with Teamcenter administration, configuration, and operational support.
Proven experience implementing and supporting Teamcenter solutions in enterprise environments.
Experience with enterprise PLM, ERP, and/or MES implementations, including the setup, maintenance, and upgrade of test and production environments.
Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and information technologies, including:
Linux and Windows Server environments
Virtualized and heterogeneous network environments
Web servers, proxy servers, and cloud computing platforms
Automation and scripting tools
Identity and access technologies (Active Directory, SAML, SSL, SSO)
Application platforms (Java EE, .NET web tier)
Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including external consultants, to deliver enterprise software deployments.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Self-motivated, proactive professional with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Experience leading or supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) initiatives, including requirements development, compliance artifacts, and documentation.
Experience developing infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing DevOps solutions using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, AWS Code services, and related technologies.
Ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployment activities.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Bash, Python, or similar.
Strong understanding of core cloud infrastructure components, including VPN, Direct Connect, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and cross-account architectures.
Relevant DoD IAT II security certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
Cloud platform certifications (AWS and/or Azure) preferred.
Multiple years of experience in customer-facing or client-engagement roles.
