Position Description

The Manufacturing Team Leader at Applied Medical plays a critical role in driving operational excellence on the production floor. This position ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of innovative medical devices that support patient care worldwide. As a key leader within the manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Team Leader oversees Production Associates, optimizes workflows, and fosters collaboration across departments to meet organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a large team of Production Associates, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage daily production processes to achieve timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, logistics, and engineering, to streamline workflows and resolve production challenges.
  • Train and develop team members on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality control measures.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and other departments to maintain smooth operations and alignment on priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation and company policies throughout all manufacturing activities.

  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support organizational objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven history of leading large teams.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom and laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred

  • Two to three years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing teams in medical device manufacturing or similar regulated industries.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address production challenges.
  • Familiarity with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) or similar enterprise systems.
