Job Description Summary:
The Marion Medical Campus is hiring a Team Lead for their Cardiac & Vascular Sonography team. This position will be located at the Barks Road location in Marion, Ohio, and is Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p. The ideal candidate will be registered in both cardiac and vascular sonography or at minimum registered in one with plans to obtain the other within 12 months.
In addition to testing, the Team Lead will assist with accreditation work, quality checks, as well as patient and staff scheduling. A strong background in EPIC would be helpful, but not required.
In collaboration with the department's management team, the Team Leader manages the daily operations of Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiovascular Procedure Labs (Cardiac Cath, Arrhythmia Services, Cardiovascular, Non-Invasive Cardiology Labs, or Vascular).

In collaboration with management, organize the daily operations of the labs as they relate to the scheduling system, triage of emergency/urgent cases, availability of physicians, and staffing levels. Assign workloads, determine work priorities, include physicians in decision-making processes, handle emergency problems and serve as a resource person for lab staff and other hospital employees. Maintain timely, effective, two-way communication with the medical staff to initiate and support collaborative clinical management practices, policies and procedures. Assumes role of Asst Manager or Manager in their absence.

Shares staff on-call responsibilities and functions clinically as CVRT, Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Nurse, as qualified. Maintains radiation safety program/lead checks. Participates in external agency review/accreditations: JCAHO, State of Ohio, ICAEL, other.

Maintain recognized standards of clinical practice and patient care. Utilize and maintain management systems, professional practices, and policies and procedures to increase productivity and contain costs.

Collaborates with the management team of the hospital to maintain and enhance a service oriented environment for patients and their families, other staff members, and the medical staff. Interprets, administers and applies hospital and departmental policies and procedures in a consistent manner. Assist Manager to implement, and coordinated the staff orientation program, as well as ongoing educational needs of the department's staff. Maintain records of staff competence, certification requirements and in-service attendance.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Additional Job Description:
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology or Cardiac Ultrasound and currently licensed in the State of Ohio and/or nursing registration currently licensed in the State of Ohio. Some departments may require minimum qualifications of registry or registry-eligible within one year as opposed to having graduated from an accredited school of Radiology or Cardiac Ultrasound.
BLS. Must have at least one to three years of Radiology experience with two years of similar lab experience. Computer entry data, knowledge of sterile techniques.
